Earlier that day, the National Institute of Building Sciences (NBIS) will host a roundtable with leaders from public agencies, private enterprises, and trade associations. This dialogue will focus on clarity in IT strategies for the built environment and the certainty required for stakeholders to “plug and play” within a sustainable digital ecosystem. Innovation Summit 2026 – Abstract Submission
Our collaboration is responding to NBIS’s call for abstracts with a proposed panel at the May 2026 Innovation Summit. The panel will showcase initiatives implementing open standards and present a digital roadmap for stakeholders across market segments - public and private, domestic and international. This roadmap will form the basis for collaboration with the nation’s DOTs under the federal Accelerating Advanced Digital Construction Management Systems Program.

The proposed presentation builds on the foundations established by DATA Act leaders. Their work enabled open, high-integrity data that is reliable, sustainable, and free from exclusivity or proprietary constraints.
