The first pilot is a simple battery install at the Petaluma Creamery.
The second pilot, and focus of the pitch, is a solar farm on a coastal ranch generating and transmitting energy for the urban Petaluma Creamery utilizing private underground transition to overcome the congestion on the existing overhead lines as a model that is integrated and coordinated with the PG&E grid.
PG&E Innovation Pitch - Transitioning to digital and privatizing energy generation
Challenge: Privatized infrastructure for transmission of energy requires new approaches and possibly legislation to enable some energy projects to go forward, including securing necessary permits from various regulatory agencies and utilities.
Problem Statements:
11. Reducing cost and complexity of underground construction
Pitch: Earth Grid
12. Streamlining design and estimation for routine projects
Pitch: Engage with PG&E with the Orange Button collaboration group to work on standardized infrastructure data by demonstrating:
Petaluma Creamery battery install – Traditional onsite project.
